ICMS Australasia named PCO of the Year and Event Management Company of the Year at Australian Event Awards

ICMS Australasia (ICMSA) celebrated two wins at the Australian Event Awards held in Sydney last night, being named PCO of the Year and Event Management Company of the Year.

The company was also a finalist in the Best Congress or Conference 500 Delegates or Over category for its management of the 26th World Mining Congress in Brisbane in June.

ICMS Australasia owner and Managing Director, Emma Bowyer, said she was thrilled to win the awards last night (September 13) against such diverse competition.

“During the qualification period we had one of our largest years on record, managing and delivering 16 conferences attended by more than 12,000 delegates and with a direct economic impact of over $20 million for our exceptional suppliers,” she said.

“I have to thank my wonderful team across our four offices, now including Christchurch, for their outstanding work across so many diverse sectors and specialisations.”

Ms Bowyer said for the first time in the company’s history, in 2023 ICMSA had three conferences starting on the same day in two different states. These events required the management of over 5,000 delegates with the majority of the ICMSA team across all offices working to achieve exceptional outcomes for clients and delegates.

“Thanks also to the organisers and all the entrants and finalists.”

Now in their 15th year, the Australian Event Awards include categories in technical achievement, regional events, exhibitions and tradeshows, production, charity and cause-related events, sports, tourism, culture, arts, music and corporate events.
