The ICMSA team from around Australia and New Zealand came together in December for a half-day of professional development followed by a luncheon at Quay Restaurant in Sydney.
ICMSA CEO Emma Bowyer reflected on the year, reporting the company had not only met but exceeded its goals.
“We managed events from February to November this year, attracting over 14,000 delegates.”
“Close to 650 sponsors and exhibitors supported these events, a national record. Our forward confirmed events is more than 60, again another record, and we have grown our newest office in Christchurch with three new hires commencing in 2025.”
Emma said that as ICMSA continues to attract new clients, its ongoing relationships with past clients are also strengthening.
“I’d like to acknowledge and thank those people and organisations who have played a vital role in this. The synergy of individuals and teams in this industry never ceases to amaze me. This includes bureaux in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Christchurch, and the convention centres and hotels we have worked with this year.”
She made special mention of key partners in the exhibition sector, including Creative Hire, Harry the Hirer and Exponet, as well as speakers’ bureaux, technology providers and other service specialists who helped the team shine with their expert contributions.
“In closing, I believe that the team at ICMSA ‘walk the talk’; we are who we say we are; we are authentic and our true selves. I also believe that being this way helps us build long-lasting relationships to keep striving to be our best, both professionally and personally.”
